The ERIGrid 2.0 Project was presented at the 34th International Photovoltaic Science and Engineering Conference (PVSEC-34) held from November 6th to 10th 2023 in Shenzhen, China.

M. Sc. Alkistis Kontou in representation of Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) was invited to give a talk in the 34th International Photovoltaic Science and Engineering Conference (PVSEC-34) held from November 6th to 10th 2023 in Shenzhen, China.

During the talk was presented, among other topics, the major developments of ERIGrid 2.0 and discussed the transnational and virtual access possibilities. Moreover, Mrs. Alkistis gave a lecture in the University of Hefei (China) in which was also discussed the ERIGrid 2.0 access possibilities and other activities carried out within project.

Apart from that, it was discussed aspects on Hardware-in-the-Loop methodologies supporting renewable integration, real-time simulations, CHIL and PHIL applications for protection, control, and optimal operation of active distribution networks and microgrids, and other topics.

What attracted the interest within the attendees was the geographically distributed real-time simulation, providing remote access to research infrastructures and the idea of creating a pan-European Research Infrastructure.
