Today, 27 April 2023, is International Girls in ICT Day: it is an opportunity to celebrate girls in I.C.T. (Information and Communications Technology) and encourage more girls and women to pursue careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) fields.
In 2021, only 19% of almost nine million people in the EU working in the field of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) were women!
The European Union plans to have a better gender balance with the Digital Decade Programme, to reach 20 million ICT posts by 2030!
